Mga Damo ng Mtn Dew Trinkets
2025
Postcards, Concrete Blocks

Mountain Dew bottles, resin, cement, Mt. Pinatubo volcanic ash, artificial moss, costume jewelry, artificial pearls, and Philippine souvenirs

Crafted from salvaged Mountain Dew bottles, resin, cement, Mt. Pinatubo volcanic ash, artificial moss, costume jewelry, silica desiccant, artificial pearls, and Philippine souvenirs, these small-scale trinkets reimagine the form of common weeds — spontaneous, persistent vegetation that thrives in both protected landscapes and overlooked urban spaces.

Rooted in DIY craft traditions of transforming discarded and everyday materials into decorative forms, each study speaks to alternative knowledge systems and the quiet power of reclamation.

These trinkets explore the tension between waste and beauty, fragility and resilience — each featuring a resin "spill" at the base, evoking both vulnerability and permanence.

Each study is priced between $200 and $400, depending on scale and detail. To inquire or purchase, please reach out via email (carol.anne.mcchrystal@gmail.com) or DM on IG.
